Start using your Blog. Make your first Post


All post, no matter which category you choose will appear on the home page (your frontpage)
That’s how a blog works and leave it that way… and that’s what gives the “google juice” for better ranging in search engines. In addition each post has it’s own unique URL that could be found by search engines.

Your latest post on top, the posts are arranged according to date.

Make a post sticky
You can make a post sticky and that post will be on top.
Settings at “edit post”: “Make this post sticky ”
Number of posts on each page can be set at
Settings / Reading Settings: “Blog pages show at most”.
You can set posts to show only a summary on the front page with link: read more….

Disabling the visual editor when writing post
You will experience formatting errors when you switch between “visual” and “html” mode when writing a post. Linebreaks and blank line get messed up.
To avoid line break mess up avoid switching between the two modes and stick to either visual or html mode
.. or simply disable the Visual editor however then you’ll need a little html knowledge fx. how to make a link open in a new window (add: target=”_blank” just after the link address)

go to Users / your profile
Visual Editor
check “Disable the visual editor when writing”
update profile

Create static pages
Static pages are not post pages but pages with static text like normal webpages.
The only static page present when you installed the blog is the “about” page. You may add information about yourself on this “about” page.

You want to create these 4 static pages.
Click pages in left menu. Create new page and create these 4 pages:

contact-us
disclaimer
privacy-policy
terms-of-use

You may use the text from my static pages, just change the website address.
